The WFAI hosts a reunion for Woodworths on even years. 
You are
invited to the WOODWORTH REUNION for July 21, 2012! 

 10:00 AM to late afternoon  
at the Jack Tone Ranch, northeast of Stockton, CA.

General directions to reunion:  Go to the intersection of "Eight Mile Road" and "Jack Tone Road", and then approximately 3 blocks further north.  The Jack Tone ranch is on the west side of the road.  If you go past the creek, you've gone too far.

         NOTE:  The  motel many stayed at before in Stockton, the Comfort Inn on Waterloo Road, has changed
            ownership.  The Holiday Inn in Lodi has had very good reviews.
  Check with Tripadvisor for other suitable
            Stockon and Lodi motels.

What to see in the area:
            NOTE:  Stockton is not a "vacation city", but great for a reunion at the Jack Tone Ranch.
          
 Yosemite Info  and  Yosemite lodging    Yosemite National Park is 121 miles or 3 hours.

       
Sacramento RR Museum and Old Town  Located in Sacramento Old Town
           
Rail Town 1897 Historic State Park, Jamestown, CA  
                                               Located about half way between Stockton and Yosemite.
     
       Sequoia - Kings Canyon Natl Park  220 miles or 4 hours 20 min from Stockton
                                               (Hwy 99 to Visalia to Lodgepole Visitor Center)  In this park is
                                               Mt. Woodworth, which is named after a grandchild of Samuel "the Poet"
                                               Woodworth.  One can look down the valley of "Middle Fork Kings River"
                                    
           from a certain point in the road and view in the direction of
                                               Mt. Woodworth in the far distance.   BUT you cannot see it.

to locate Mt. Woodworth and best viewing point along the road. 
                                               The mountain is hidden behind others that are higher and in the way
                                               of viewing due to curvature of the valley.
